When it comes to the cost of owning leisure products for five years, an RV is easily the most expensive. RV’s can be a great option if your family takes a lot of trips and enjoys camping.  Please be aware of the end cost before you invest. To get your family outdoors and not have it cost a fortune in the long run, ATV’s are a great option. They can be a fun addition for campout’s or trips up to the family cabin. Over a five year period, they will only cost you around $15,000 on average, as compared to $146,000 for an RV.  An alternative that costs less is to camp in a tent, versus using an RV.

Hot tubs provide the lowest cost of ownership over a 5 year period. Because there is little upkeep cost for hot tubs, they are a great investment for families’ leisure products; the whole family can enjoy a hot tub at home together for years to come. Pools are a great investment for families who can afford them.  One of the con’s to pool ownership is limited usage throughout all four seasons. Hot tubs are a great alternative that can still involve the whole family- year-round and can be the center of fun at your party or get together.
