• Each Use – Close the cover, measure water chemistry and adjust chemicals if necessary.

Monitor the Ozone System

An Ozonator can reduce chemical sanitizer dependence by up to 60-90%. In some cases, you can monitor it with your phone.

Filters

Filters need to be cleaned and replaced regularly to prevent debris and bacteria from building up in your spa. Your hot tub will determine the filter you need and how to care for it. Cleaning is typically done every 3 to 6 weeks and the filter may last for up to two years.

How to clean filters:

• Put the spa in “hold” mode.
• Take out the filter cap, plate, and cartridges.
• Spray the filter with a high-pressure hose. Move from top to bottom. Never use a brush on the filter because it can damage the material.

Connectivity

Your phone can help you maintain your spa. A built-in wireless connection allows you to access controls from your phone.

Water Chemistry

The pH and alkalinity of your water need to be carefully controlled. Chemical agents such as bromine and chlorine can be used to clean the water. Still, you need fewer chemicals with an ozone system. However, an ounce of prevention is always advisable, which is where the cover comes into play.

Hot Tub Cover

Covers keep falling debris out of your water, helping to maintain cleanliness. Rinse off your cover and wipe it down with a mild detergent if necessary. If you see a tear, try to repair it as soon as possible.

Seasonal Care

If you do not plan on using your spa in the winter, consider winterizing it. Drain the hot tub, and remove the remaining water from the plumbing lines with a shop vac. Clear out the pumps. During this process, it’s essential to make sure all water is out of the jets, air blower, filters, and hot tub.
Open your cover occasionally and avoid prolonged filtration cycles when the temperature is above 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer.
